Ricky's was so delicious. I been to several places in Taos and be far this has been the best service. Our waiter Jake was so kind, kept us comfortable. The food came fairly quick & hot. The homemade chips and salsa were so good. Very tasty. I had the Tuna Melt & my partner got a Double halo. The double halo was huge. Biggest burger in Taos probably.
If I had to grip about anything it would be the parking situation. Not many spots available. But that could also be a hit or miss. Try them out if you haven't.

This place is a Gem! We stopped by for breakfast on a Monday when several other restaurants were closed. We loved it so much that we returned for breakfast the following morning. Service is great and very friendly even when they were very busy. Delicious specials. We tried the veggie omelet, breakfast burrito and salsa burrito. The red and green chile are both delicious. Denver Bronco decor.

This was a score! My whole life I drove past this place, and I’ve missed out. 4/5 due to the oily hash browns, after reading the reviews seems like it’s normal! Ordered the mountain lover and it was heavy! Huge portion. The chorizo was good, bacon was good. The red chili was better than green in my opinion, the green had flour in it which is a rare find, not my preference. The inside is small and cozy. Very old school feel. I would eat here again if I had no other option. Ordered to go at about 9am, was offered to dine in which I thought was really nice. We got our food and loaded up, as we were doing so they brought us out our toast they forgot to include. Talk about INCREDIBLE customer service!

We had a fantastic breakfast experience here and really enjoyed our interactions with the staff. Of everyone in Taos is this kind and happy I may just have to relocate. Excellent green chile tops a wide variety of perfectly cooked grub. A proud Broncos fan to boot. It seems to me that this is where the locals go. Will return as fast as life allows.

I just wanted to share my recent experience at a restaurant. We wanted to make the most of the last few days of summer break by taking the kids out for breakfast before starting our day. The service was fast, the kids' plates looked cute, and our server was kind and understanding. We were referred to this restaurant by a family member, which was a positive aspect.
However, I have some concerns about the cleanliness of the establishment. When we sat down, I had to ask my children to clean the seat cushions as they were covered in food and dog hair. I ordered two iced teas for my children, both of whom have autism and are sensitive to noise and cannot speak up for themselves. When I placed the order, I made sure to request brewed tea, not from a fountain. The server checked in to verify the type of tea, but she corrected the mistake promptly, which was great.
Unfortunately, my plate had hair in the food, which has happened to me at several other restaurants as well. I sent the plate back, as this is important to me in assessing the cleanliness of the kitchen. The server re-plated my food and brought it back, which I wasn't comfortable with, so I sent it back again.
When I asked for the bill, it wasn't itemized, and I had to wait for the server to manually write one for me. The server mentioned giving me a 10% discount for the errors, but the gross receipt tax is 9%, so the discount offered wasn't really beneficial.
Overall, I had some concerns about the cleanliness and attention to detail at the restaurant, and I wanted to note my experience for future reference.

Ricky’s has some Mexican food, but is not a Mexican restaurant. Basically a very small American diner. This place is always busy, and popular with locals. Heavy on the oil as any self respecting diner is. They have their sauces well figured out. Staff and locals are all really friendly.

Really enjoyed our breakfast at Ricky's this morning. This little whole in the wall was such a good choice for a great breakfast. It was full of local clientele when we stopped in, which was a good clue to good food. Service was great, the omlet with green peppers was perfect, pancakes were light and phenomenal. Great breakfast.
