Excellent place to come on Friday afternoon when they turn over the entire restaurant to a Shabbos Shuk with many options for Shabbos takeout.

Prices are on the steep side, but the quality is good and the food is delicious!

The Highlights:
Great Food. Great Service. Great Vibe.

The Full Story:
I was in town for less than 48 hours for a friends wedding and my sister insisted we go to Lenny’s. Now I’m not one to spend a lot of money on eating out, but I’m also not going to say no to a free meal at a good restaurant with family.

My sister ordered the Corn Ribs, Ribs, and Wings, my nephew got a Crunchy, I ordered the brisket fries and a burrito bowl. I was not prepared for how much food I was about to eat.

First off, the food was brought to our table in a matter of minutes. No joke. Majority of the dishes were at our table for us to immediately enjoy. No long waiting in silent hunger. And it was all hot and delicious.

Second, the portion size was huge. I’m talking real good portions. Each dish could be split between 2-3 people. And they were all so filling.

The taste….oh my gosh the taste. I thought my sister was overselling it but she wasn’t. I can honestly say I’ve never tasted good so good. Everything was perfectly flavored, the perfect balance of Israeli and Mexican food.

Now let’s talk about the fries for a second. My wife and I have a rule…we judge a restaurant on their fries. They can have the best burger but if the fries are trash we won’t eat there. Whereas if the burger is trash but the fries are good we will be loyal customers. The pulled beef fries I got were amazing. Not just because of the meat, no. the fries themselves were amazing. Perfectly crisp. Perfectly seasoned. They were even good the next day reheated.

Finally…the service. I already mentioned how quickly the food was served. But the part that really got me was how the owner came out to say hello to the guests and talk to us. He spent time with the table next to us chatting with the parents of an adorable little baby. Then he got us involved in the conversation, joking with us and in general socializing. I'm not talking about a 30 second “Hi how’s the food.” This was a full five minutes of engaging conversation. And we weren’t the only ones. He gave individual attention to all of the guests.

There were at least three birthday celebrations that night and the entire staff including the owner got involved in the celebration.

All in all it was a great experience, well worth a trip from Dallas to visit.

I can honestly say I have never had an experience like it and am glad I did.

Definitely a top three restaurant. I’ll be going back.

Loved the food here. It was our first time trying a kosher restaurant and Lenny’s did not disappoint! The prices were a bit high but portions were very generous. Also, their platters looked amazing!
